Candy AI has been sitting near the top of the best AI girlfriend apps list for a while now, and for most of that time the pitch was simple: build a girl, chat with her, get pictures. That’s not the story anymore.

Sometime this summer Candy shipped Candy Shorts — an actual catalogue of scripted, serialised video episodes sitting inside the app you already pay for. One series, Yes Ma’am, has taken off hard enough that people are searching for it by name without knowing what platform it lives on. Meanwhile a load of you are hunting for a Candy AI Telegram bot that doesn’t exist, and some of you are going to get your logins stolen doing it.

So: full retest. Here’s what’s real.

What Candy AI actually is in 2026

Candy AI is a browser-based adult AI companion platform run by EverAI Limited out of Malta. You either pick one of their existing characters or build your own, then chat, request images, generate video, and — new this year — watch pre-made series.

It claims 50 million users and has picked up press mentions in Wired, Forbes and the NYT, which in this category is unusual and worth something.

There’s no app on the App Store or Play Store. It’s a progressive web app: you open candy.ai in a browser and, if you want, add it to your home screen so it behaves like an app and pushes notifications. That’s the whole install story. Remember this, it becomes relevant in the Telegram section.

Candy Shorts review: is the series catalogue worth your tokens?

This is the interesting part, so let’s spend time here.

Candy Shorts is a library of short scripted video series. Not clips you generate — clips Candy produced, with named series, recurring characters, episode numbers and new drops landing regularly. You reach it from the Shorts tab in the sidebar, or from a character’s profile if she’s got a series attached, where you’ll see a Watch Series panel.

Think vertical-video serial drama, adults only, sitting one tab away from the chat window you were already in.

What’s in the catalogue

At time of writing there are roughly twenty series live, and the count keeps climbing. Candy’s own front page pushes titles like My Hot Professor and Isabella’s Revelation, and the one everyone’s actually searching for is Yes Ma’am — more on that in a second.

The grid is filtered two ways. By source: Candy Creators, Candy characters, and Other characters. And by theme, with the usual adult category lanes plus a New tab and a Spicy New tab for fresh drops. If you just want to see what landed this week, Spicy New is the fastest route in.

The player is better than it needed to be

Small thing, but it tells you they took the format seriously rather than bolting it on.

Playback speed runs 0.5x to 2x. Subtitles come in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese — audio is English-only, so if that’s not your first language the subtitle track is doing real work. Episodes run a bit over a minute each.

Nobody else in this category ships localised subtitles on adult video. It’s a genuinely useful detail and every other review of Shorts has skipped it.

What Candy Shorts costs

Here’s where you need to pay attention, because Candy doesn’t put a clean price tag on this.

Episode one of a series is free. That’s the hook, and it’s a fair one — you get a full episode before spending anything. After that, episodes sit behind a lock, and you open them two ways: a Premium subscription unlocks the run in HD, and individual episodes draw from your token balance.

Premium gives you 100 tokens a month. That’s your real ceiling, and Shorts is now competing with on-demand video generation and Private Content packs for the same tokens. Once an episode is unlocked it’s yours permanently — no ads, no re-paying, which is the one genuinely generous part of the model.

Goat’s note: watch the free first episode of three or four different series before you unlock anything. The teasers tell you which storyline you actually care about, and blowing your monthly tokens on episode two of a series you drop at episode three is the single easiest way to waste money here.

Where Candy Shorts falls short

I’d be doing you a disservice if I sold this as more than it is.

It’s not interactive. The script, the dialogue, the ending — identical for every user. Your chat history with that character doesn’t feed into it. Your choices don’t branch anything. This is Candy’s writers’ room, not your fantasy.

You can’t make your own. There’s no tool to build a Shorts series. If custom output is what you want, that’s the image and video generators, which is a different feature with a different token cost.

Series length is inconsistent. Some run five episodes, some closer to ten, and a few are clearly mid-release with the back half still locked behind New badges waiting to drop.

As a format, it’s the most forward-looking thing anyone in this category has shipped. As a purchase, it’s a nice extra on a subscription you were buying anyway — not a reason to subscribe on its own. If you’re already paying for Candy, open the Shorts tab. If you’re not, subscribe for the chat and the generators, and treat Shorts as the bonus.

“Yes Ma’am”: the series everyone’s suddenly searching for

If you landed here typing yes ma’am into Google, this is what you were looking for.

Yes Ma’am is Candy Shorts series 82, and it’s the breakout of the current catalogue. The setup: you’re the lowest-ranked recruit on a military base. Sergeant Diana Demont — the untouchable commanding officer, married to the Colonel who runs everything — pulls you out of the mud and decides you’re hers. You’re the only one who gets to see the woman under the uniform.

That’s a proper premise. Rank, risk, a woman with everything to lose and a very good reason to keep you quiet. It’s the kind of tension the rest of the catalogue mostly doesn’t bother building, and it’s why this one is spreading by word of mouth while better-promoted series sit there.

Five episodes are live. Episode one plays free. Episodes three, four and five carry New badges and sit behind the lock, so the run is still filling out.

Diana herself is the draw. She’s written as genuinely in command rather than as a costume, and the series trusts you to find that hot without spelling it out. If you only ever watch one Candy Shorts series, this is the one.

Candy AI on Telegram: there is no official bot

Straight answer, because this one’s getting people burned.

Candy AI does not have an official Telegram bot. Not a mini app, not a channel, nothing. Their only official community space is Discord, and it’s linked in Candy’s own sidebar. The platform itself lives at candy.ai in a browser. That’s it. That’s the entire list of real doors in.

So what are people finding when they search? Three things, and none of them are Candy AI.

Impostor bots. These use handles built to look official and profile pictures lifted straight from the real site. Some display fake verification. The dangerous ones ask you to “log in” with your Candy AI email and password — which is credential harvesting, and if you reuse that password anywhere it’s a much bigger problem than a lost subscription. Others take payment for “bot access” or “premium unlocks” and deliver nothing.

A completely unrelated bot with the same name. There’s a Russian-language anime waifu bot on Telegram that’s also called Candy AI. Different company, different product, same name. A chunk of the search volume on this query is just people colliding with it.

People who don’t actually want Telegram. Plenty of you searching this just want a fast, private-feeling AI girlfriend you can open ten times a day. That’s a reasonable thing to want. Candy’s web app added to your home screen does exactly that job, with the notifications and everything, and you’re not handing your login to a stranger.

The rule is simple: if it isn’t candy.ai, it isn’t Candy AI. No legitimate service on this platform will ever ask for your password inside a chat app.

The weekly and biweekly tiers barely get mentioned anywhere, and they’re the smart move if you just want to test the thing properly for a fortnight without a year-long commitment. Everything renews automatically at the same price and term. You cancel in settings.

Premium includes: unlimited text messages, create your own companions, 18+ image and video generation, full Live Action, and 100 tokens a month.

One thing worth knowing: the charge shows up on your bank statement as EverAI, not Candy AI. If you’ve ever squinted at a statement wondering what EverAI was, now you know. Discreet by design, mildly alarming if nobody tells you first.

The rest of the platform, briefly

Chat holds a character’s personality well and remembers enough across a session that the immersion doesn’t collapse. It gets more predictable the longer you push a single thread — that’s still the honest ceiling here.

Images are the strongest thing Candy does. Consistency is the win: your girl looks like your girl, session after session. Free accounts get them blurred, which is the paywall doing its job.

Video and Live Action are where the tokens go fastest. Impressive when it lands, expensive to iterate on.

Character creation is still tag-based. You’re choosing from menus rather than writing free-text prompts, which caps how weird you can get. If prompt-level control is what you’re after, a dedicated image generator will serve you better than a companion app.

The Goat’s verdict

Get it if: you want the most complete adult AI platform in one subscription, you’ll actually use the Shorts catalogue, and you’re taking the annual plan. At $3.99 a month nothing else in the category comes close on value-per-feature.

Overall: 4.5/5. Candy Shorts pushed it back to the front of the pack, and Yes Ma’am is the best argument for the format anyone’s made yet.
